Attending Jurassic Quest
In 2020, we wanted to check out a drive-through dinosaur show in the area. We were late finding out about it & therefore couldn’t find tickets to suit our availability. Fast forward to this year (2021) when we learned of Jurassic Quest. It’s a walk-through show & completely different experience, but it piqued our interest & love of dinosaurs.
A huge thanks to Jurassic Quest for sponsoring our visit. It was a fun time & the perfect way to start our weekend.
Let’s jump into a bit of #MomLife truth. When I learned of this event, I asked my daughters if they were interested in attending. I love dinos but it wouldn’t be as enjoyable without their excitement. They were all for it & assured me they wanted to go.
Fast forward to the day of & my youngest woke up in a mood. She was no longer interested in the show. And no… she didn’t really know why. After a few minutes, she said she wasn’t into dinosaurs anymore. If you’re a parent (and if you know me), this led to a full on conversation. Bottom line… we went & I couldn’t keep her still. She wanted to do everything offered. LOL!
The show in our area is being held at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, NC (Nov. 19-21). It’s occurring as I write this & I’m curious about the crowds. During our time slot, there were no crowds but we wore masks as usual. (Fyi… there are “appointment” times for entering to allow social distancing.)
I’m not sure if this event will come to your area but kids nine & under would definitely enjoy- especially if they like dinosaurs! There are all kinds of activities such as fossil digs, dinosaur inflatables, rides, shows, crafts, dinosaur exhibits with plentiful information, photo opps, an ancient ocean life exhibit, & REAL fossils to see. We spent almost two hours checking things out.
I do suggest going if you’re able. Jurassic Quest is described as “the largest and most realistic dinosaur exhibit in North America.” This is the only one we’ve attended so we can’t compare it to any other.
After the show, we grabbed dinner at a local Japanese restaurant. Any guesses what we watched while we ate??? Jurassic World! Best dinosaur day ever.
Have you been to this event? If so, how was your experience?
