Stylish Kid, Confident Kid
I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up! I don't know whether to hi-five another parent or crawl into a cave and attempt to stop time. She's becoming more independent, opinionated, beautiful, and impressive as the days go by. I'm a proud but anxious mother just like most I'm sure.
The school year has returned faster than I care to acknowledge. Nevertheless, it's here and my family is now in overdrive trying to prepare.
I remember being ridiculously hyped about going back to school when I had the right gear: clothes, shoes, supplies, and (of course) a cool backpack! A kid’s backpack is usually the first thing spotted when strutting down the hallways after summer break. So if it has to be done, it needs to be done in style!
That’s exactly what my daughter, Alora, has done and while I’m a tad nervous about what 3rd grade has to offer, she’s beaming with confidence! Having her own sense of style and given the space to express that, emboldens her in new situations. There's nothing like the freedom of expression to build a kid's character and self-confidence! Justice (Just For Girls) seems to have her on the right track as far as shopping goes.
I mean c'mon... the thing has her initial in bold hot pink and glitter! What more could a girl ask for?!!
This is the first year Alora has free reign (almost) to purchase items without much parental interference. She is aware, however, that we are in the background with our referee whistles ready to blow. Believe that!

Alora chose this backpack herself and it's not only cool to behold, it feels well made and sturdy. I love quality pieces! Truthfully, only time will tell because my baby puts a-hurtin' on a backpack!
Long gone are the days of nonchalant-ness about where we shop. Alora only has one statement nowadays... "I want to shop at Justice." She LOVES that store almost ad nauseam! You don't believe me?
