Family Road Trip To Myrtle Beach
There's nothing more gratifying to my family than packing up and going on a trip. No ocean has to be crossed nor airport explored. We are content finding adventures right here in our own town or even a few hours away.
National/international travel excites us but we also understand that adventure is where and what you make it. It's all in the perception. We're just easy like that.
Our Destination
A couple of weeks ago we grabbed our dusty travel bags & packed life back into them for a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We've been there a few times but no matter where we revisit, there's always more to do and see!
Almost anywhere is a happy place for us but the beach is a different entity altogether. There's a certain magic & energy that only the ocean possesses. If you're a beach lover, you know what I mean!
My daughters' favorite things to do are to run away from rushing waves as if they're playing a game of chase (like this) and find the most intricate seashells the shore has to offer! Add to that a bit of sunshine with a gentle breeze and you have perfection.
What We Did
Besides covering ourselves in sand and splashing in the ocean, we did other activities. We walked the boardwalk, ate good food, and won prizes in the arcade (see our first day here).
What Else We Did
We also checked out local shops, ate more good food, walked on the pier, and marveled at the views from the Sky Wheel. It was epic! (see our second day here).
If nothing else, we were able to spend much needed (and desired) quality time together. And... I was able to admire the loves of my life from a distance, doing one of the things we love best... traveling.
There's nothing like family.
