I’ve written a couple of times about dental products I really like & trust. One of them is a custom-fitted whitening system that removed heavy coffee stains from my teeth. I was shocked but extremely pleased with the results. See them here.

Dental Probiotics
Dental probiotics allow healthy bacteria in your mouth & sinuses to crowd out bad bacteria. This improves your body’s ability to fight decay, disease, & infection. If you’re like me, you’re probably more familiar with probiotics for gut health. Right?
Through Smile Brilliant, I’ve learned they can also be very beneficial in dental & skin care as well. The dental probiotics we’re using produce an environment in our mouths for good bacteria to thrive. This, in turn, reduces the possibilities for cavities, gum inflammation, plaque, tartar, & bad breath. An additional benefit of this dental health is the protection our ears, noses, throats, & overall immune systems also receive. (See this infographic)
I think having to worry less about viruses & ear/sinus infections is something to celebrate!
So how do they taste? Surprisingly okay. There’s a hint of a sweet flavor to the kid’s probiotics that my youngest appreciates. She has no problem chewing and swallowing them right before bed.
The plaque highlighters contain an oral dye that shows you where plaque is collecting. This lets you know what areas need a bit more attention while brushing. Although plaque is natural & we all have it, too much is bad news for teeth. No one wants to deal with decay, gum disease, gingivitis, etc.
As for the taste… my daughters weren’t especially fond of it on the first try. However, after chewing them (no swallowing!) & seeing the areas they need to brush, they were fascinated. Now the taste doesn’t bother them. There’s nothing like squeaky clean teeth.
Here’s a bit of info in case you need a reminder about the cariPRO toothbrush or maybe haven’t heard of it. The “vibration” of it works to naturally remove surface stains & whiten your teeth. It removes 7 times more plaque than manual brushing and improves your overall gum health within two weeks.
