Gummy Drop Is More Than Just A Game
One of my missions in life is to help others build self-confidence; especially my two daughters. Because this is extremely important to me and beneficial for them, I do my best to use everyday situations to help them develop this trait.
Occurrences such as meeting new people on the playground, participating during library story times, standing in front of classmates at school, and helping with home chores/activities offer opportunities for growth. It's understandable how kids are able to become more self-assured after having such experiences.
On the other hand, confidence is also gained in more unconventional ways. For instance, my youngest daughter, Vivia (age 3), has gained more self-assurance by learning to flip off of the couch. By flip, I mean lie on her back, scoot to the edge of the couch, put her hands on the floor, and carry her feet over her head. I'm sure most of us did this as kids, but doesn’t watching it as a parent make you nervous?!
Vivia feels like a superhero afterwards and although her father and I monitor her, we refuse to discourage her efforts. You never know, we could have the next star gymnast right under our roof!
Our oldest daughter, Alora (age 8), is the conquering type. She loves to tackle things that are new and/or hard for her. For example, she is studying Spanish and learning to play a new sport. She obviously gets frustrated and experiences self-doubt at times but she perseveres. The most unexpected place she has found confidence, however, is in playing online games like Gummy Drop.
Alora gets ultimate joy and feelings of accomplishment discovering new game apps and learning how to play-especially if her dad already plays them! Defeating a game and increasing levels makes her feel that she can do/learn anything. Games often have an element of math, geography, and problem-solving; playing them makes Alora more confident to challenge herself in real-life situations.
I had to ask/do my own research about the ins/outs and objective of the Gummy Drop game. Alora was super excited while explaining to me how she travels to different places (New Orleans, Tokyo, Spain, etc.) on missions to save the world from a Gummy Drop takeover. She gets to squish her way around rebuilding cities, etc. Because it is a board and puzzle game combined, it definitely keeps her busy! There’s an unbelievable amount of levels, cities, boosts, and rewards with this one. I think I may just be a fan!
Isn't it fun to watch young (and old) imaginations go wild with games like this? While playing Gummy Drop, gamers can earn travel vouchers and even check their success in their game passports.
Ummm... I'll take those perks in real life please and thank you!
I encourage you to check out Gummy Drop! It’s simple, colorful, and extremely interactive. But first, let me give you some insider info to get you started.
Okay... so the Amazon Appstore. Here's the breakdown:
You can access the Amazon Appstore on Amazon Fire devices or download it on Android devices (emulators too!) Let's say you don’t already have the Amazon Appstore App installed. All you have to do is visit www.amazon.com/underground from your Android device. You'll have to create an Amazon account and link your credit/debit/gift card to make a purchase. From there:
1. Open a web page through one of your browsers to download the Amazon Appstore (Boat Browser, Dolphin Browser, etc.).
2. Download the Amazon App.
3. Enable “Unknown Sources” during the installation process.
4. If you are already playing a game through Google Play or iOS, sync your information to maintain your progress so you can pick up right where you left off.
5. You may find it helpful to delete the existing version of your Google Play app before installing the Amazon version.
This is a "simple" snippet of what I got when I pulled it up on my phone:
For a better view and more detailed instructions, go here and scroll down.
Now... let me tell you a little about Amazon Coins.
1. Amazon Coins are a virtual currency used to buy apps and in-game items in the Amazon Appstore.
2. Save up to 25% on apps, games and in-app items when you purchase Amazon Coins. The more you buy, the larger the discount! Amazon often runs promotions where you can get savings even greater than 10%. This is a great way to spend less and play more.
3. For example, you can buy $100 worth of Amazon Coins for $90. This is a $10 savings! 100 Coins are worth $1.
4. Here's the link to buy Amazon Coins if you need it: www.amazon.com/buycoins
As for earning Amazon Coins (Buy Some, Get Some), along with being able to buy Amazon Coins discounted, Amazon Appstore also gives you up to 25% in Amazon Coins back on select in-game purchases. For example, if there is a 20% Amazon Coins back offer in a game and you buy an item for $19.99, you would get $3.99 back in Amazon Coins!
Use this link to see all of the games that are currently giving Coins back on in-game purchases: http://www.amazon.com/b?node=6185968011 I suggest checking every week to see which ones are being promoted.
So right now, to add icing on the Gummy Drop cake, if you buy in-game items, you'll receive up to 30% free Amazon Coins back (while supplies last)! That means if you buy that same item for $19.99, you’ll now get back $5.99. Even more savings and nothing beats saving money!
(Be sure to follow the links to check out the Amazon Appstore & Amazon Coins)
Let me clarify: Amazon Underground has 2 souls:
1. It’s basically the Amazon Shopping App with an integrated Amazon Appstore, so that you're able to download and install games/apps. In order for you to play games with Amazon or use/purchase Amazon coins, you need to have Amazon Underground installed.
2. It’s a program offering “actually free” select content. Customers enjoy over $10k in paid apps/games/in-app items for FREE, unlimited FREE lives/levels/upgrades, tens of thousands of movies/TV shows, and more benefits to come! The “actually free” content is flagged with an “actually free” banner on the top left hand corner of the icon. Games such as Clash of Kings, Cookie Jam, and Family Guy Quest for Stuff are NOT part of the Underground program, but they are downloadable through Underground app (the Amazon Appstore).
And there you have it!
You should be well on your way to simple downloads/installs/coins and enjoying some gaming fun! When it comes to Gummy Drop, all ages in your family should be able to enjoy! Speaking of family members, I informed my daughter that I'm writing about Gummy Drop and now she wants to play. Go figure! This could turn into an all-day event.
Hey… maybe I’ll get in on the action, too!
